The Connecticut Laborers' Local 230 Hartford office coordinates construction and labor relations programs for the Greater Hartford region. This includes from locations north in Enfield and Windsor, Connecticut to locations east in Manchester to Storrs, Connecticut. Also, from points south in Wallingford and Meriden to locations in Farmington and West Hartford, Connecticut.

ABOUT CHARLES LECONCHE, BUSINESS MANAGER Charles LeConche began his career as a construction laborer as he served as a foreman and steward for several major building and construction contractors in Connecticut and throughout the northeast. Shortly after, he became a field representative for the Connecticut Laborers' District Council (www.ctlpl.com), a member of the Laborers' International Union of North America (www.LIUNA.org) and later graduated from the Harvard Business School (www.hbs.edu). Several years later, he was elected as president of the Connecticut Laborers' Local Union 230, Hartford, Connecticut and after that, Charles LeConche was elected as business manager of Local Union 230.
During the last several years, Charles LeConche was elected business manager of the Connecticut Laborers' District Council and was immediately highly successful in creating new strategic alliances with business owners and managers who had not previously considered a relationship with the Laborers' Union. Charles LeConche was instrumental in the formation of the Connecticut First Coalition (www.ctfirst.com), which is an alliance of companies, political leaders, labor officials and individuals promoting the Connecticut economy and finding better ways to invest in order to protect Connecticut taxpayers.
One of the ways Charles LeConche has expanded the Connecticut economy is by developing a number of job training and life skills programs along with several other organizations in a cooperative partnership program. Some of these strategic business partners include Capital Workforce Partners (www.capitalworkforce.org), AGC-Laborers' Training Program (www.laborers-agc.org) and the Connecticut Department of Labor (www.ctdol.state.ct.us).
Charles LeConche has also actively promoted the work of the Connecticut Minority Construction Council and helped to expand its role in the marketplace in Connecticut. Along such entities as the Associated General Contractors of Connecticut (www.agc.org), Connecticut Construction Industries Association (www.ctconstruction.org) and the Connecticut Road Builders Association (www.ctconstruction.org), Charles LeConche has played an integral role in building the vitality of the Connecticut economy for over 20 years.
He is a frequent speaker and business and political events and has received awards from the Connecticut Business Hall Of Fame (www.ctbhof.com) and the Connecticut Minority Construction Council.
